PASTOR Christopher Kolupa

Pastor Christopher Kolupa serves as the Main Divine Liturgy Celebrant. The administrator of Word and Sacraments of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Burbank, Illinois. He was born in Chicago and raised in the Northwestern suburbs of Chicago. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education from Elmhurst University, and now most recently a graduate of Concordia Seminary St Louis. 

He is currently and regularly called here at Holy Trinity. Pastor Chris is passionate about the Holy Scriptures, Lutheran Confessions, and the liturgy of Divine services by God's forgiveness and mercy, by the means of grace, in Word and Sacrament, trusting in Christ crucified and raised, by the call of the gospel by the Holy Spirit, raising up fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.  

Pastor Chris also has a passion for music. He worked in the music industry and taught music while performing at Silver Dollar City, Branson, MO and Nashville, TN.

Reverend Hesham Shehab

The Rev. Hesham Shehab has had a unique journey to Christianity. He was raised in a conservative Muslim family in Lebanon at a time when his native country was divided along religious lines. This religious strife continued into his teen years where he was recruited at a young age to the Muslim Brotherhood to fight against Christians in the Lebanese Civil War

In 1980, Shehab attended American University in Beirut and developed an interest in religious studies. Shehab was profoundly moved by his cultural studies course which led him to read and explore the teachings of Jesus. He received a Master's degree in the history of Arabs and Ph.D. studies in the history of Islam. In 2000, he completed his pastoral education and became a Lutheran pastor through Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, IN.
